Thabit ibn Qurrah Mathematical Competition

The Department of Mathematics organizes the competition every year in honor of the great Arab mathematician Thabit ibn Qurrah (836-901). Thabit was a brilliant scholar who made important discoveries and was instrumental in introducing Greek science to the Muslim world.

Awards will be given to the best three students by the College of Science .

Rules of the competition:

The competition is open to every Undergraduate student currently enrolled to Kuwait University .

Students must solve the problems on their own but can bring to the competition anything they think might help them (books, notes, calculators, food and drink, etc….) as long as it is not alive.

The solutions must be written in English.
